Size Distribution

A small diameter size distribution is key to providing Rhobust with characteristics of process robustness and high mass transfer kinetics.

To maximise the surface area of the adsorbents, and thereby enhance mass transfer kinetics, Upfront has determined that the adsorbent beads should have a narrow size distribution, typically of 20 - 200µm.

High density adsorbents also maintain a robust fluidised bed without turbulence, facilitate the treatment of liquids at high viscosity and reduce expansion for minimal buffer consumption.
